Missing children from Kotadeniyawa found after 7 weeks

The two children who had gone missing from Kotadeniyawa since last November, have been found in Mirigama.

Police said a woman had handed over the two children to the Mirigama Police Station today.

The police initiated investigation following a complaint that the two children had gone missing on November 23 from Kotadeniyawa.

The children a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old boys both cousins, were handed over to the Kotadeniyawa Police for further investigations, police said.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Kotadeniyaya Police are conducting further investigations to find out whereabouts of the children and how they went missing.(DSB)
