Minor violations of election laws: PAFFREL

Colombo, May 6 (Daily Mirror) - There have been minor incidents of violating election laws such as campaigning in a few places in the country today, PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said.

“There was one incident in Kegalle where an effort was made to woo voters. There are also incidents of providing transport to voters,” he told the Daily Mirror.

However, he said the local government election is peaceful as no violence has been reported.
