COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, through his lawyer, gave an undertaking today not to take any further steps regarding the gazette notification issued by the Minister appointing an interim committee to Sri Lanka Cricket, until November 22.
President's Counsel Uditha Egalahewa appearing for the Sports Minister gave this undertaking when the writ petition filed by SLC President Shammi Silva was taken up for support before the Court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal two-judge-bench comprising Justices Sobhitha Rajakaruna and D.N. Samarakoon fixed the petition for further hearing on November 22.

As minister he has the power to appoint an interim comitee based on the powers given to him. Also now he has more authority to remove current crooks in slc as he got the support from main opposition too

But many others to the top level are still protecting SLC. That is why they are challenging the Minister and the Parliament still talking as if they are above all except the President whose name was used to get that Interim Order to block the Minister, by SLC lawyer.

This subject is now turning out to be an irritating political issue which has no connection with the welfare of the people and should have been referred to a Court of Law since it was exposed on a report from the AG's Dept Politicians are just wasting paliament time and taxpayers money for political mileage

Without extending the prohibition order the Justices have taken a different route to have the same effect. It could be that they saw no merit to extend the order
