Colombo, March 08 (SLC) - Seamer Matheesha Pathirana will not be available for selection for the 3rd T20I against Bangladesh, as the player has sustained a Grade 1 hamstring injury on his left leg.
Pathirana suffered the injury while bowling in the 2nd T20i game.

Whether he is injured or not he should not be taken to the team. He is root cause for out loss against Bangladesh in the second T20. Also please do not take him to to World Cup matches unless you want lose the matches

A blessing in disguise! Needs to control his line and length. Almost always wayward bowling and sprays the ball in both directions well wide of the mark. If he can control what he does, I am sure he can be a world class act with his searing pace.

Good decision to take him out. He bowls here and there, no line or length. Always highest economy and most extras are given by this bowler. He should be kept out of the squad until he can bowl straight. Being Dhoni's pet doesn't make him suitable to play in the national team.

I can't really fathom SL's obsession with this guy. He may be occasionally amoung the wickets but regilarly errant and leakes loads of runs. Even in the last match he had conceaded 10 wides. I am sure that puts a lot of preassure on rest of the fellow bowlers. He is still not ready for international cricket... yet. Needs a lot of tuning.

Good talent. A bull in a China shop for now, as SL has no mentors to look up to. They are all self tagged specialists and non have the mindsets and professionalsm similar to the Australians or the New Zealanders. Yet our guys dont know that they dont know. Hope he matures in his thought process to better his contribution for the game.

Poor boy needs to improve his physical fitness and bowling skills. Should go back to domestic tournaments and prove himself.
