Matara station lacks timetable announcements, Frustrates commuters
Colombo, October 1 (Daily Mirror) - Commuters at Matara Railway Station have expressed frustration over the lack of announcements regarding train schedules.
Several passengers told the Daily Mirror that while the station has adequate staff and facilities, no equipment is being used to inform travelers about train timings, often leaving people confused or panicked when trains arrive unexpectedly.
Despite this, station staff reportedly act quickly to manage crowds and ensure safety when trains pull in.
Attempts to contact the Matara Station Master for comment were unsuccessful.
