Man falls to death while trying to enter women’s hostel
A 30-year old man who was running away from security when he tried enter a women's hostel died after fallen from a building in Maradana, police said.
The police launched investigations on a complaint received by the Maradana Police that the victim, a resident of Eravur had fallen from an apartment building at S. Mahindahimi Mawatha in Maradana on Tuesday morning.
Police said there is a women's hostel in the apartment building and it was revealed that a security guard had seen the man trying to enter the hostel and had fallen to his death when trying to run away.
The body was taken to the Colombo National Hospital Police morgue.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
