Man climbs on court roof claiming unfair treatment by police
A person climbed on to the roof of the Kurunegala court complex this morning alleging that he was treated unfairly by the Malsiripura police.
The 55-year-old man had reportedly climbed onto the roof in protest,claiming that the Malsiripura Police had filed a case against him over illegal liquor trade.
A large number of people were also gathered in front of the court to witness the incident.
The police officers along with officials of the Kurunegala Municipal Council's Fire Department were trying to get him down from the roof. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
