Mail trains cancelled due to Station Masters’ strike

Colombo, July 9 (Daily Mirror) - The Railways Department has decided to cancel the scheduled mail trains due to a strike by Station Masters and Train Controllers starting from midnight today.

They also mentioned that arrangements are being made to have enough staff to run several office trains tomorrow (10).

Due to this strike, the Transport Ministry has arranged for passengers with railway season tickets to use them to travel on buses operated by the Ceylon Transport Board tomorrow (10).
