Maga Neguma disbanded: Bandula
All institutions that were functioning under the Maga Neguma Road Construction Equipment Company have been disbanded, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.
Addressing the weekly cabinet meeting, he said the decision was taken due to short of funds to continue with the project.
There is no revenue generation to continue and carry out any project.
Therefore, the Maga Neguma project had been disbanded which was functioning under the State-Owned Enterprise Restructuring Unit.
As such, four institutions linked to the Maga Neguma project will be dysfunctional, according to the minister. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
