MPs to sign no faith motion against Keheliya tomorrow: SJB MP

The No Confidence motion against Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella is ready for the MPs to place their signatures, a Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP told journalists n Parliament.

“MPs will place their signatures to the No Confidence motion tomorrow,” he said.

The motion says Parliament has no confidence on the incumbent Minister of Health as he is responsible for the current crisis in the health sector as it was he who had allowed the usage of unregistered medicine which has caused allergies and apparent deaths of patients.

The Minister came under heavy criticism by the Opposition SJB in the House yesterday as well. However, Mr. Rambukwella said he is ready for a debate in Parliament on the health issues.

Meanwhile, Opposition MP Udaya Gammanpila has accused the SJB of trying to help the government to get away by bringing in the no confidence motion against the health minister. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

SJB even if useless party does something by bringing attention in parliament to the matter, so debate can be had. Gammanpila does nothing but pointless press cons where he makes impossible suggestions. Woe to those who vote for any Gammanpila.
