MP Ravi Karunanayake raises Daily Mirror article in Parliament
Colombo, Oct. 8 (Daily Mirror) - MP Ravi Karunanayake today raised the Daily Mirror article titled “Threat of power cuts looms?” in Parliament, describing it as a national issue and urging the Power and Energy Minister to respond.
He requested the Minister clarify whether the news item was true or false and called for a prompt response, given the issue’s relevance to the country.
Karunanayake also claimed that the Electricity Engineers’ Union had begun a work-to-rule campaign from last evening, potentially affecting the nation’s power supply.
