Litro assures uninterrupted gas supply through May



Colombo, April 18 (Daily Mirror) - The Litro Gas Company says it is in a position to ensure a continuous supply of domestic gas throughout the month of May.

The company stated that 20,500 metric tons of gas have already been received for April, while a further 17,500 metric tons are scheduled to arrive.

According to Litro, existing stocks are currently being stored in a floating storage facility in the Maldives. In addition, another shipment of 20,000 metric tons is en route to the Maldives from South Africa.

Meanwhile, the company said that required quantities of gas have been released to the local market as planned to meet increased consumer demand during the festive season.

Litro further noted that necessary arrangements have been made to continue releasing adequate stocks after the festive period, with gas filling and distribution activities resuming as normal from April 16.
