Colombo, Feb. 4 (Daily Mirror) - A leopard cub was captured on a mobile phone by a tea estate worker in the Bogawantalawa area yesterday (3), after it climbed a tree to escape a group of dogs while accompanying its mother on a hunt.

According to plantation workers who witnessed the incident, the leopard and its cub had entered the tea estate in search of dogs roaming the area. When the leopard attempted to hunt a dog, several nearby dogs reportedly joined together and chased the leopard and the cub.

In an attempt to escape, the cub climbed a nearby tree to protect itself, while the mother leopard remained in the vicinity. After the dogs dispersed, the cub safely climbed down from the tree and was seen walking away with its mother through the tea estate.
