When I left Sri Lanka in February 1966, the German DM was only Rs.1.05, almost one to one. Very soon Rupee Euro will be Rs.200,- which means DM is now Rs.100,-.Unbelievable. It is much cheaper to live in Europe than in Sri Lanka.Siri
