Colombo, Oct. 16 (Daily Mirror) - The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka announced that partial disruptions to the Lanka Government Cloud (LGC) services continue, though critical systems remain secure and no data loss or security breaches have occurred.
According to ICTA, a joint team of engineers from the agency and its service provider is working around the clock to identify and resolve the root cause of the issue. Manual alternatives, including obtaining certificate copies from Divisional Secretariats, have been made available to minimize inconvenience to the public.
ICTA said that relevant institutions such as the Department of Police and other stakeholders are being kept informed with real-time progress updates.
Meanwhile, the next phase of the LGC modernization and expansion project, launched in October 2025, is progressing as planned. The upgrade will introduce advanced technology and expanded capacity to ensure improved reliability and service resilience.
Full restoration of the LGC is expected soon, with services being reactivated in phases to maintain system stability. ICTA expressed its appreciation to the public and partner institutions for their patience and cooperation during the recovery process.
