LAUGFS secures LPG shipment to ensure uninterrupted festive supply

Colombo, April 6 (Daily Mirror) - LAUGFS Gas PLC has received a 7,000 metric ton LPG shipment via the vessel ANDOVER at its terminal in Hambantota Port, boosting nationwide supply ahead of the upcoming festive season.

The company said the latest shipment would significantly strengthen availability across the country and help prevent any potential shortages during the high-demand period.

The cargo was sourced from SHV Energy, a globally recognised supplier, underscoring LAUGFS Gas’ strategy of securing stable supply through strong international partnerships despite ongoing global geopolitical and supply chain challenges.

LAUGFS Gas confirmed that sufficient stocks have now been secured to meet domestic demand throughout the festive season.

The company added that steps have been taken to accelerate filling and distribution operations to ensure efficient delivery across all regions. These measures are aimed at maintaining uninterrupted supply, minimising market disruptions and providing assurance to consumers during the festive period.

Shamelessly keeps increasing the prices without making the goods available for the customer. Seriously? Gas is important only during festive periods is it? For a company that has no shame and lacks a moral compass and best for a business that actively takes advantage of its customers.
