Kalu Ganga reaching spill level at Ratnapura: DMC

The water level of the Kalu Ganga is reaching the spill level at Ratnapura due to the heavy rains experienced in the catchment areas, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

According to the forecast by the Meteorology Department, the DMC said the rains are expected to continue.

“Therefore, the people living downstream along the Kalu Ganga in the Ratnapura area are advised to be vigilant over rising water levels," it said.
