Japan will not help SL now
Japanese Ambassador in Colombo Mizukoshi Hideaki who met the TNA yesterday had reportedly said that there is a risk of financial assistance to Sri Lanka being mismanaged and hence Japan will not support the country at this point.
However he has said Japan might consider it later

Naturally . After signing a very good and viable agreement , that is LRT prproject , present government cancelled it even without refering Japanese government . So can they trust present regime furthermore ?

Correct Sir....until Rajapakshes are thrown out. However, the general public suffer because of this as power hungry Rajapakshes and their stooges who violate human rights, plunder, wont go. Our Friend Ranil is the guardian of these fellows. He stepped just before these fellows were to be thrown out.

I find this move by Japanese Govt perplexing in view of severe hardship being faced by citizens. They can consider the India assistance model which is mix of line of credit, and direct aid in form of food, medicine and fuel.
