Issuing of vehicle revenue license in Eastern, Central Provinces suspended

The issuing of vehicle revenue licenses in the Eastern and Central Provinces will be temporarily suspended due to an ongoing computer system upgrade, the Provincial Chief Secretaries said.

Issuing statements, they said the issuing of revenue licenses will be halted from September 27 to October 02, 2023.

Hence, vehicle revenue licenses set to expire from September 26 can be renewed without incurring late penalties till October 10.

Additionally, the online issuing of vehicle revenue licenses through the Department of Motor Traffic's official website at www.motortraffic.wp.gov.lk has also been temporarily suspended from midnight on September 24 till October 06, 2023. (Chatruanga Pradep Samarawickrama)
