Colombo, Dec. 5 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation (SLTF) will conduct an International Taekwondo Championship at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo, commencing tomorrow (6).
The opening ceremony will be held at 4.00 p.m. and the meet will conclude on December 12.
The SLTF has taken steps to hold three International Taekwondo events and one International Conference from December 7-12 during this tournament.
Nearly 100 officials including competitors from eight South Asian countries and several Asian countries are expected to participate.
This is the first time that an international taekwondo tournament and an international conference will be held in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the GCS International Open Championship and the Asian International Open Championship will be held on December 7-8 and the first South Asian Open Taekwondo Championship will be held on December 11-12.
In addition, the GCS International Conference is scheduled to be held on December 8 at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo.
