Inmates stage rooftop protest at Boossa Prison

Colombo, June 18 (Daily Mirror) - A group of inmates at Boossa Prison climbed onto the facility's roof this morning (18) in protest against intensified search operations being conducted within the prison premises.

It was reported that the protest began early in the day and is reportedly in response to what the inmates claim are overly strict or invasive search procedures.
