Indictments served on Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Daisy Forest

Colombo, July 2 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo High Court today (02) served indictments on Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and his grandmother Daisy Forest in connection with a money laundering case.

The case, filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, was taken up before High Court Judge Pradeep Abeyratne.

Following the serving of indictments, both Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Daisy Forest were granted bail, each released on two surety bails of Rs. 1 million.

The court further ordered that the fingerprints of both accused be obtained.

Mr. Siriwardene, would you ensure if you or anyone from NPP has filed a case that Mr. Rajapaksha family had looted USD 18 billions and laundered to Uganda please? If it is so I shall make sure to serve the indictments by the Attorney General.

All imports, cost of living skyrotted and people have sold their personal belongings to survive, young have migrated to cold countries and are suffering to adapt This is all due to Rajapaksa mismanagement, corruption and reducing taxes to favour their crony businessmen. Public money was looted and country at the mercy of IMF and India. But racism.is spread to distract attention to show majority people will lose independence and sovereignty because of minorities. The truth is Rajapaksa actions have made Sinhala people weak and colonised.
