India to assist evacuation of Sri Lankan nationals from Iran
The Indian Embassy in Iran has extended its ongoing evacuation efforts to include citizens of Sri Lanka and Nepal, following formal requests from the two governments.
The initiative comes under #OperationSindhu, India’s coordinated response to ensure the safe exit of its nationals from Iran amid rising tensions and an uncertain security environment in the region.
The Embassy of India in Tehran announced that it will now provide evacuation support to Sri Lankan and Nepalese nationals as well.
