The High Commissioner of Canada to India was summoned today and informed about the decision of the Government of India to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India.
The concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India within the next five days.
The decision reflects the Government of India’s growing concern at the interference of Canadian diplomats in our internal matters and their involvement in anti-India activities.

Canada has every right to protect it's citizens. Canada has credible evidence which it shares with US, UK, Australia and New Zealand that it was Indian military or lack of Intelligence who did the assassination of the Canadian Citizen. Indians are bent and don't mind killing, as they even release former LTTE members of assignation on Rajiv Gandhi recently.

@Disgraceful behaviour by the Indians - Remember the fascist Sanghi RSS/BJP/VHP dream of an AKHAND BHARAT. This term is used as a reference to ALL the neighboring countries to India, including Sri Lanka, to be under this fascist Hindu domination. Not ALL Hindus support this idea, it is only flouted and popular amongst the minority Upper Caste Brahmins, who have cleverly maneuvered themselves into very important decision making segments in Indian society, even up to the extent of bringing in legislature to cleverly cut off Low caste and the Tribals from having education and come up in life. This is also their so called " Sanathanam Dharmam " . A Laborer and his generations should be Laborers all their miserable lives etc etc. Now these fascist movements have exported to foreign countries, like Al Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist organizations. The western governments should be encouraged to put these organizations under a Watchlist.

Expelling diplomatic staff is a natural way of showing a disappointment. When things improve or change of government things get reversed. Smaller countries like Sri Lanka should not get involved when big doner or helping nations like India and Canada get into an argument. Both countries provide invaluable help to Sri Lanka. Beggers cannot be choosers
