Yes you are right. In Cricket you need to be able to think and strategize your approach when you are in the middle. Most of our guys doesn't seem to have the capability to do that. It is evident that there is no intent when our guys are out there, and we always end up chasing the game. The guys who show some intent lack the brains, like you rightly said. Look at the number of dot balls! Most of the time when someone gets a boundary, the next two to three balls are dots, so the advantage of the boundary is lost. Even if there are no boundary balls, the batters need to have the skill to rotate the strike at this level, the boundary ball will come.

Another aspect is, how we go about when we are defending an under-par score, like yesterday. We know the match won't last 50 overs either way, and we are still thinking of the 05th bowler. This is ridiculous. We need to push the opponents with our best three or four bowlers and try to get them all out, that's the only way to win when you are defending low totals. Another issue is the middle order is loaded with so called allrounders, and they rarely know how to build innings. We need proper batters and may be one allrounder. We don't have much time before the World Cup to sort things out. Lack of Brains/thinking is what is very evident when we watch our guys play. We can be critical because these guy's represent all of us, and there should be responsibility and accountability.

Sam that's my argument too!! Indian commentators bragging about indian talent, well there's over 400 million males between the ages 15 to 35 And SL got like less than 4 million same age group!!
