Independent Group claims victory in Haputale Urban Council

Colombo, May 6 (Daily Mirror) - Independent Group 1 has won the Haputale Urban Council in the Badulla District, according to official results. 

The group secured 1,038 votes and claimed 5 seats. 

Meanwhile, the National People’s Power (NPP) followed with 844 votes and 4 seats, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) obtained 374 votes and 2 seats.
