Inaction of CB has led to NDB scam: Ravi K
Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - The complete failure of the Banking Supervisory Unit of the Central Bank (CB) has led to the Rs. 13 billion scam at the NDB which has become more complex today, MP Ravi Karunanayake said today.
"Several more banks and non-banking financial institutions have been affected by the NDB scam. What is important is to safeguard the respective financial systems of the institutions," he said.
MP Karunanayake, who is a former Finance Minister, said looking after the interests of depositors alone is not enough.
