Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - The International Center for Foreign Studies (ICFS) is excited to announce an exclusive event, Ayubowan UK, designed for Sri Lankan students who dream of studying in the United Kingdom. Please don’t be tool to come to UK on any student visa without any scholarship or student ship or any funding : Now university fees are very high for international students and rent is too high as well and all other expenses are very high: Unless you have a good part time jobs with some financial support don’t come and these people will put you in a trouble some of these students will go back to SL without any money or without any qualifications Please discuss this matter with all previous students before you come and make a good decision and it doesn’t apply to all.

Agreed totally! Wanted to add that even universities etc are big business and can exploit people. Not all UK higher education institutes are equal in quality; private ventures vary in standard. So, research thoroughly before committing. Sad to say, that many foreign students end up having to balance time working in low paid jobs with studying to survive high living costs.

Scholarships are a scam. They would jack up the fees judging the affordability of the parents and then set off an amount as scholarship. Parents financial strength matter more the the students grade sheets. Ultimately the huge amount spent is actually for the PR status.

Sri Lanka is the best place on earth but sadly due to a various things, living there isn't very favorable now. The skilled are not paid well and the younger generation is suffering with all these political and economical challenges. I'd recommend everyone capable to go wherever possible. It's expensive, yes! Coz good things don't come at a affordable rate. I've lived in the UK and moved to Ireland 2 yrs back. I've struggled at the initial stage. Worked part time and had challenges managing studying. But the hustle was worth it. Quality of life as well as work-life balance is great in these countries once you have passed the initial hurdle. So go for it with courage!
