House of underworld figure ’Thembili Lahiru’ set ablaze in Middeniya

Colombo, July 9 (Daily Mirror) - The house of alleged underworld figure known as "Thembili Lahiru" was set on fire by an unidentified group in the Kudagalara area of Middeniya on Tuesday night (July 8), police said.

According to police, Lahiru's mother was inside the house when the fire broke out but managed to escape without sustaining any injuries.

The cause and motive behind the suspected arson attack have not yet been determined.
