Hotel manager beheaded by worker ‘because he wasn’t spoken to directly’

A hotel worker in the US allegedly beheaded his manager and threw the head in a rubbish bin because he wasn’t spoken to directly.

Yordanis Cobos-Martinez and a woman were cleaning a room at the Downtown Suites in Dallas when the manager, Chandra Nagamallaiah, 50, instructed him not to use a broken washing machine, according to an affidavit.

Cobos-Martinez became upset because Nagamallaiah didn’t speak to him directly and instead relied on the woman for translation, it said.

Security video shows Cobos-Martinez leaving the motel room, and returning with a machete which he using to repeatedly cut and stab the manager.

Nagamallaiah ran to the motel’s front office screaming but Cobos-Martinez followed and continued to attack him, despite attempts by the victim’s wife and son to stop him, according to the affidavit, which was issued in support of an arrest warrant.

At one point he removed a key card and a mobile phone from from Nagamallaiah’s pockets before continuing to cut the manager “until his head was removed from his body,’ it said.

Cobos-Martinez is then said to have kicked Nagamallaiah’s head into the car park, then picked it up and put it in a rubbish bin.
