Colombo, July 18 (Daily Mirror) - In a landmark moment for Sri Lanka’s lottery history, the National Lotteries Board (NLB) yesterday (17) presented a cheque worth Rs. 474 million to the winner of the largest-ever lottery jackpot in the country.
The life-changing prize was won through the NLB’s Mega Power Lottery, with the winning ticket having been sold in the Gokarella area.
The grand cheque was ceremonially handed over by the Mayor of Colombo, Vraîe Cally Balthazaar, at a special event organized by the NLB. Also in attendance were Deputy Mayor Hemantha Weerakoon, NLB Chairman M.D.C.A. Perera, and General Manager A.M. Arif.
