Heavy showers to continue in North, East

Colombo, Nov. 16 (Daily Mirror) - Prevailing rainy conditions are expected to continue in the Northern and Eastern Provinces due to the low-pressure area in the vicinity of the island, the Meteorology Department said.

It said showers or thundershowers exceeding 100 mm will occur at some places in the Northern and Eastern Provinces. 

The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds and strong lightning during thundershowers.
