Health officials urge early treatment and caution on medication

Colombo, June 6 (Daily Mirror) - Health officials have urged the public to seek immediate medical attention if dengue symptoms such as fever persist, especially among pregnant women, children, and the elderly.

They said that early detection within 24 hours is critical in preventing severe complications.

The public has also been strongly advised against self-medication. Officials warned that only paracetamol should be used for fever management, while other drugs should be avoided unless prescribed by a doctor.
