Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Sunil Handunnetti was unanimously re-elected as the Chairman of the Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE), State Minister Harsha De Silva said.
MP Handunnetti’s name was proposed by UPFA MP Dayasiri Jayasekara and it was seconded by UPFA MP Lakshman Senewiratne.
In a tweet, the State Minister said, "MP Handunnetti did a good job so far and wish him luck for even a better job in the remaining term of this Parliament. All parties except Joint Opposition members were present at COPE,” he said.
