Gunman wanted for three murders arrested in Anuradhapura

Colombo, Oct. 28 (Daily Mirror) - Three suspects, including a gunman wanted for three murders in the Southern Province were arrested with heroin worth Rs. 2.5 million in Anuradhapura.

The arrested are a 44 year-old army deserter of Nelugollewa, Horowpathana, Nelugollewa, a 40 year-old from Medawachchiya and a 30 year-old from Periyankulama, Anuradhapura.

The gunman wanter for three murders was arrested at Jaffna Junction in Anuradhapura and has been identified as a drug summugler operating under an organised criminal hiding in Dubai.

Police have taken into custody 88 grams and 490 milligrams of heroin in possession of the suspects.

They are to be produced before the Anuradhapura magistrate's court today.
