Group of eight reported missing on Hanthana mountains rescued

Colombo, June 29 (Daily Mirror) - A group of youth who were stranded due to bad weather while climbing the Hantana mountains, were rescued after several hours in a joint operation by the army and the police.

A group of eight youth from Ratemulla in Kandy had climbed the Hantana mountains yesterday morning and had lost their way due to dense fog.

They had then informed police on the emergency number and police and Sri Lanka Army personnel had rescued the youths this morning.
