Govt. to submit list of former ministers and parliamentarians, others having links with underworld criminals

Colombo, Sept. 9 (Daily Mirror) - The government intends to submit a list of former ministers and parliamentarians and other high profile characters who maintained links with organised criminals to Parliament, sources said.
There is a heated political debate about revelations linking organised criminal gangs with politicians.
Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala is also planning to make a statement to the House soon. Recently, several organised criminals nabbed in Indonesia were brought to Sri Lanka.
