Colombo, March 26 (Daily Mirror) - While questioning the Muslim extremist group operating in the Eastern Province, Cabinet spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa stated that legal action will be taken against the group following investigations.

Addressing the media, he said that the security forces remain on high alert regarding the extremist group operating in the Eastern Province.

In a previous Cabinet meeting, the Minister acknowledged that information had been received regarding a Muslim extremist group operating in the region.

He also stated that police intelligence and security forces are actively working to uncover more details about the group. The President also provided certain information about this matter in Parliament, the Minister added.
