Colombo, Feb 18 (Daily Mirror) - The Government is still conducting investigations to determine the cause for the recent power breakdown, Chief Government Whip Nalinda Jayatissa told Parliament today.

“Don’t keep on talking about monkeys. We are still conducting investigations to determine the real cause for the power failure,” Dr. Jayatissa said while assuring that the Power and Energy Minister will make a statement on the issue in Parliament within this week.

He was referring to a question raised by MP Ravi Karunanayake under Standing Orders 27 (2) in the House today.

This is a very serious issue. For those who have read the CEB report, the primary reasons are clear. What is the plan of action to ensure it doesn’t happen again? Without transgressing into bigger picture issues like renewable energy and related politics, there are things that the CEB needs to do, RIGHT NOW. Its squarely the responsibility of the new government to make sure action is taken.

Now the blame shifts to CEB Engineers? So where is the NPP government's responsibility here? They were kind enough to take responsibility for releasing 321 containers to hrlo their friend in business ( God knows what was smuggled in) and but here they blamed the monkeys first and now the Engineers. Typical brainwashed Dilkushani washing their laundry.
