Government stats on covid-19 not accurate -SJB

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya had reason to believe that Covid-19 statistics which the government comes out with, are not accurate, as testing is not carried out in a proper manner, former Minister, Mano Ganesan told a press conference.

“Government received 20, 000 units of testing equipment from China on Thursday, and got a similar stock from the same country earlier as well. Therefore, we request the government to increase testing,” he said.

He also, alleged that the ruling party had already begun it’s election campaign.

Former State Minister Eran Wickramaratne who also participated at the press conference said schools and universities should be reopened only after ensuring Sri Lanka was completely free from Covid-19.

“Even a prominent Buddhist monk had made the same request and advised against reopening of schools and universities,” he said.

It is better let professionals to handle the present situation. Of course not the politicians. Look around the world. Where as professionals asses the situations and take precautionary measures minimum casualties. Good example is the people who boost themselves there are the best in everything is of course the best in raising death toll as well.

Media such as your paper will be held responsible if this pandemic spreads further in Sri Lanka after paving the way for people to mingle with each other. my dear gano, even a foil can understand that so tell us the obvious. no country on this planet including the best USA ca cording to trump can claim to have done so. of course if everyone can be tested which is impossible given the cost and logistics, thee statics would be completely different. WHY DO THESE POLITICIANS ALWAYS STATE THE OBVIOUS? ARE WE SO LOW IN IQ AND INTELLECT TO FATHOM THAT.
