Colombo, August 09 (Daily Mirror)- The government is resorting to suppression to ensure its dominance and to supress mounting public protest over the government's inaction, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa said today.
He told a meeting that the government's political agenda is based on suppression and that the government is using suppression as it is unable to deliver its promises.
"One wonders whether people will be benefited by some policy matters implemented by the government," he said.
Rajapaksa said the government is politicising all institutions, even the Youth Councils, to ensure the parties dominance.
"The government is aware that people will start protesting and make demands when the government is not delivering its promises," he said.
The MP said the government is acting to stall the development in the village, temple, church and the kovil.
