Government approves procurement of LPG cylinders for Litro Gas Lanka Limited

Colombo, Dec. 23 (Daily Mirror) - The government has approved the procurement of LPG cylinders required by Litro Gas Lanka Limited, including 120,000 2.3 kg cylinders, 185,000 5 kg cylinders, 450,000 12.5 kg cylinders, and 7,000 37.5 kg cylinders.

International competitive bids were invited from suppliers registered with the Sri Lanka Standards Institution for the supply of four types of LPG cylinders without valves for the period 2025–2027. Six bids were received and evaluated.

Following the assessment, approval was granted based on the resolution presented by the Hon. President, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Policy Planning and Economic Development.

The procurement aims to ensure an adequate supply of LPG cylinders to meet domestic demand and maintain smooth distribution across the country.
