Gold award for Janaprith Fernando

The Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association Attorney Janaprith Fernando was conferred the International Friendship Gold Award by the Scout Association of Malaysia, Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia, for the services and enormous contributions made to International Scouting.

The event was held on June 19 at the Crown Crystal Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia by the Acting Chief Scout and Chief Commissioner of Malaysia, Prof. Dato Mohd Zin Bin Bidin.

The Award Ceremony was held at the conclusion of the Youth Mobilization Summit of the Big 6 Youth Organisations organized by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement APR Region, hosted by Malaysia and attended by 150 delegates from 22 countries.

Malaysian Scout Officials in recognition of the services of Janaprith Fernando conferred this award after an evaluation of the services rendered by him to National, Regional and Global levels of scouting where he has served for over 25 years.
