Gnanasara Thera’s nominations rejected

Three nomination lists in Kurunegala District including Ape Jana Balawegaya from which Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera was to contest and of two independent groups were rejected today.

Kurunegala District Returning Officer R.M.R.Ratnayake said the lists were rejected due to errors in the affidavits of candidates.

Ape Jana Balawegaya, which was formed by Ven.Athuraliye Rathana Thera, lost its lists in Monaragala and Colombo as well.

The lists of two political parties namely Mawbima Janatha Pakshaya and Democratic United National Party were lost in Vavuniya District.

Lists of Janasetha Peramuna, National Congress, Sri Lanka Socialist Party and one independent group were rejected in Matara District. (Pushpakumara Jayaratne, Kirshan Jeewaka Jayaruk and Sithum Chathuranga)

This monk is not a monk that follow Buddhist doctrine. It is a man wearing a robe and pretending to follow buddhism. I am very thankful to see his nomination is rejected, in fact the whole country must reject this man
