Giant kite carries youth into air in Point Pedro
A youth flying a kite in Point Pedro, Jaffna ended up unexpectedly airborne when a strong wind took hold of his kite and sucked him into the air.
The youth who had been engaged in flying a long-tailed kite with a group of other youth was whisked 40 feet into air.
The youth was also seen hanging on the rope after being lifted.
After crashing into the ground, he was admitted to the Point Pedro hospital.
However, the youth sustained minor injuries. (Romesh Madushanka)
