The trade union action, which marked the first step in a series of planned continuous industrial actions, was initiated demanding the implementation of agreements reached with the Minister of Health to address issues affecting the hospital system and medical officers.
With the conclusion of the strike, all general and daily treatment services across the hospital system resumed as normal from 8.00 a.m. today.
Meanwhile, the GMOA said that its planned series of island-wide industrial actions will continue.
Decisions regarding the nature, plans, and timeline of future actions are to be taken at a special executive council meeting of the GMOA scheduled to be held later today.
