Colombo, June 29 (Daily Mirror) - Specialist Dr. Sanjeewa Tennakoon and Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa were re-elected as President and Secretary respectively, of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) during its 99th annual election held on Saturday (28).
The election saw a voter turnout exceeding 60%, reaffirming the leadership of Dr. Tennakoon and Dr. Sugathadasa at the helm of the powerful medical union.
Polling was conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a hall adjacent to the GMOA headquarters in Colombo. In addition to the key leadership roles, members also cast their votes to elect 16 Directors General and 40 members to the Central Committee.
