Fuel quota to remain same next week too: Minister

The Fuel Quota will be automatically updated at midnight today and will remain the same for next week, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said today.

He said in a twitter post that after analyzing data this week, necessary changes will be made if necessary next Sunday.

The petrol fuel quota for motorcycles is 4 litres; 4 litres for quadricycles; 5 litres for three-wheelers; 20 litres for vans; 20 litres for cars; 50 litres for special-purpose vehicles; 15 litres for land vehicles; and 50 litres for lorries.

No need to increase for 3 wheelers. They are not having hires. They will only hoard and sell at higher prices.

Congrats idea was great for working class people that no longer need to suffer in long ques....If all petrol station can operate That would be even a bonus help get feuel down in price it wil help inflation cost of living down for poor that struggle daily

Now that QR system is working see if you the allocations could be made based on the engine capacity , specially in the case of Diesel vehicles.
