Fuel cargo scheduled to arrive on July 9 delayed; Minister

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said payments were made to IOC for a Diesel Cargo to arrive 15-17 and a Petrol Cargo for 22-24.

He said the cargo scheduled to arrive on the 9th of July was delayed due to weather conditions and could not be loaded on time.

He said the supplier has communicated the departure from India yesterday morning.

The minister said the full payments for the Diesel cargo and the Petrol cargo were were made with the assistance Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance on Friday.

1) On Friday, full payments were made with the assistance of @CBSL & MOF to IOC for a Diesel Cargo to arrive 15-17 & a Petrol Cargo for 22-24. Advance payments were made last week for a Diesel cargo to arrive 15-17 & Petrol 17-19. Balance payment to be made today for the Diesel.

So till July 22 , no petrol other than at IOC sheds. Can you ask IOC to sell Petrol to Ceypetco sheds until the next shipments come. Else long queues in IOC sheds.
