French President invites RW to address high-level panel discussion

President Ranil Wickremesinghe is to address a high-level panel discussion at the Global Leaders' Summit for a New Global Financing Pact scheduled to take place in Paris on June 22 and 23, 2023, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

The President is to attend the summit following an invitation by President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic.

Mr. President Pls do not go for money again! Why government cannot join with them and try innovative human development program. Being a small country with high literacy rate and good health care can easily implement them. Japanese, Chinese, East Asian models will only create a robotic work force; it will not create a healthy sustainable happy population. This will not make the citizens to find their best version of themselves. Why can’t we search for a new development models that is each and every citizen centered and it should assist them to make him the best version of themselves universally and continuously. Why cant we try a new educational system that promote individualized self-learning and critical thinking and empathy and self-awareness. We need to make citizen life time self-learners and thinkers, knowledge domain is increasing and changing and environment is changing and people are also moving. Government systems or specialized jobs is not enough to make a happy life.

With some comment writers there is an excessive exaggeration and misjudgment of the abilities of Ranil Wickremesigne, whose political balance sheets and merits for the unit and the nation over the decades are very different, from my point of view by no means positive to judge and evaluate! I remember his political positions in the times of LTTE terror !!! Even the current different invitations to Ranil do not change anything about his almost complete insignificance in the international structure of politics! It is time that in Sri Lanka the better, especially younger, politicians lead the country under a recognized and respected leader into a stable, "corruption-free" and hopeful future!
